At DPR we know that many other surveyors for other companies and bank/building society surveyors fail to diagnose rising dampness correctly and instigate a new damp proof course where one is not required. This leads to upheaval and expense to the home owner. DPR will only install a damp proof course where it is required.
DPR’s fully qualified specialists will carry out a survey in order to diagnose the full cause of damp problems and will only recommend the necessary treatments. If you have no problem then we will be honest and tell you. Using a range of modern damp proof materials and techniques, DPR will inject a BBA approved DPC system along the identified walls suffering from rising damp to provide a ‘dry’ wall and a suitable surface to take new decorations.
During the process any wall coverings, plasterwork and decorations would be removed to expose the masonry/ brick work. This will be replaced with DPR’s specialist re-plastering technique to prevent the passage of any residual moisture and contaminant salts from passing to the new surfaces from the underlying masonry.
Other dampness forms (including condensation, lateral and penetrating damp) will be diagnosed and the necessary action performed.
